As we cross the halfway mark of 2024, Sensor Tower has provided a snapshot of the virtual fitness landscape on Android devices in the United States for the second quarter. Let's take a look at how the top virtual fitness programs have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and user engagement.

komoot - hike, bike & run experienced fluctuating downloads, starting the quarter with approximately 3.7K and ending with around 2.6K. Revenue peaked in late May with nearly $19K and dipped to about $14K by the end of June. Weekly active users showed a declining trend from 31K to 28K over the quarter.

For Step Counter - Pedometer, downloads remained fairly stable, hovering between 1.5K and 2.1K. Although revenue for this app was negligible, the weekly active users saw a gradual increase from 5.8K in early April to 6.8K in late May, before slightly declining to 5.8K by the end of June.

AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run showed a consistent pattern in downloads, starting at 1.7K and finishing the quarter at 1.2K. Revenue trends peaked mid-quarter with $1.4K in early June, then fell to $663 by the quarter's end. The app's active users started at 6K and dipped to around 5.4K.

Garmin Connect™ maintained a steady download range between 1.3K and 1.9K. With no reported revenue, the focus shifts to its active user base, which began at 135K, reached a high of 142K in early April, and concluded the quarter with a strong 136K weekly active users.

Finally, eBike Flow showed downloads starting at 1.7K, dipping to 1K in mid-June, and recovering to 1.3K. Revenue saw minor fluctuations, peaking at $79 in late April. The weekly active users demonstrated growth from 8.4K to 9.4K throughout the quarter.
